Testimonials:
“I had the opportunity to head up to the Colorado Premier Training wind tunnel facility in Ft. Collins, CO to do some testing on my Felt TT bike. I thought I had a pretty aerodynamic position before, but I was able to make some significant improvements to cut through the wind even faster. At 30mph, my new position saves me a whopping 20 watts of power! Over a 30km course, thats in the neighborhood of 40 seconds faster. Wow!!! I can't wait to try it out in a race. 'Daimo', our mechanic had to make some clever changes to my aerobar set up to accommodate my new position, but it worked perfect when I went back to test it again later in the week. It is really amazing how much little changes affect your drag, and it is really something you have to be aware of in a time trial race. Minute changes in head and helmet position can make a big difference. You have to think of how you are slipping through the air, and not just how hard you go or how you are pacing yourself.."

“Coaching has proven to be one of my best investments in cycling, running a close second to buying my first bicycle. For anyone who takes their fitness and athletic performance seriously and who desires to see real improvements, having a professional coach is a must. The guidance and support of the Colorado Premier Training coaching staff has transformed me from a self-coached, over-trained, and struggling cyclist to a strong collegiate racer on a nationally competitive team. In the five months leading to my 2007 season, CPT guided me to a near 15% improvement in my threshold power, something I had never dreamed of before working with a coach. Regardless of the goals of an endurance athlete, I feel confident that CPT can help anyone reach a new level of performance."

Collegiate Cyclist
"I don't know if you care to hear this stuff, but my first TT of the year was Sunday. Seven mile TT which was flat and windy. I took over 40 seconds out of the second place guy overall, and over a minute out of the second place p/1/2/3 in seven miles. Thanks for the help in the tunnel. My power output was down for the first time in a TT, but I am sure that while I would have been competitive and perhaps won, the time I threw up was STORMING! Thanks again."
- William O., Cyclist
"Last night was the first real effort with the new TT position. It was really great and I road a personal best on the course (20 + seconds faster than previous efforts) and my legs were still a bit flat from the past race weekend. This is all by way of saying thanks for the attention to detail. CPT is doing a great job. It’s rare that amateur/age group racers, like myself, get the type of attention and professional treatment that your place has provided. It is making me faster and I am very thankful. Now I need a PR on the Gila TT course! We’ll see…"

“As a novice cyclist with only a recreational interest, I could be best described, several years ago, as an enthusiastic but poor cyclist. Through a friend, I was introduced to Steve Owens and Colorado Premier Training, which changed my life, at least on a fitness and recreational level. I lost over 20 pounds, ride several centuries each season, including the Triple Bypass and have made cycling an integral part of my life. Steve’s training and coaching pushed me to new and higher levels and I continue to look for his guidance, several years later.”

CEO, Private Escapes Destination Clubs
“Colorado Premier Training has not only improved my training but it has also taught me how to train. I have been cycling for a few years with no direction until I began working with CPT. They have a wide range of knowledge and expertise when it comes to coaching. I am a certified coach as well, and use CPT not only for bouncing ideas around on training methodology, but also for coaching services. Give CPT a chance and you WILL see results.”

Category 3 road cyclist
“Results were very hit and miss and random for me up until mid 1999. Usually sitting in during a cat 3 crits wasn't too bad as long as there was no hill and things didn't get too hard. I was able to put myself right in the top five on the bell lap, no problem. But if I had to go anaerobic very much throughout the race I'd stand to sprint at the finale and end up sitting right back down. It was frustrating, but not overwhelming - just another problem to overcome. I explained my situation to Steve Owens in about May 1999. He suggested a couple of specific workouts that changed my life. It was stuff I never, ever would have done myself intuitively. I ended up winning four crits that year, all with big, explosive, anaerobic efforts in the last kilo. I had time to zip up and salute three times. Two crits were Colorado state championships (ACA and USCF). It was heaven. I've retained Steve and CPT since then. Without any question, this has been one of the wisest things I've done.”
